Between the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà marshlands and the Bay of Roses, in the municipality of Castelló d’Empúries, there is a village that is unique in the Mediterranean.
It was built 30 years ago on over 23 km of canals. The Empuriabrava Marina is the largest residential marine in Europe, found among magnificent houses and all kinds of services.
It is three nautical miles from the Cap de Creus nature reserve, 15 km from the AVE high speed train station, 15 km from the Figueres train station, 67 km from Girona airport, 160 miles from the Balearic Islands, 160 km from Barcelona airport via motorway, and 85 km for Perpignan airport (France) via motorway.

Arrival by boat

The port is easily recognisable coming from France as once passed Cap Norfeu, the northern limit of the Gulf of Roses, and having rounded Punta Falconera heading towards the village of Roses and setting a course of 280º, the Empuriabrava Marina control tower can be seen on the shoreline. This tower is the symbol of Empuriabrava and stands at 47 m high and 7 m in diameter and is always illuminated. The same tower can be seen from any angle coming from the Mediterranean once in the Gulf of Roses.
